Product Description
1. Introuduction
Honeycomb ceramics are composed of numerous equal holes in various shapes. The maximum number of holes has reached 120 ~ 140 per square centimeter, the density is 0.3 ~ 0.6g per cubic centimeter, and the water absorption rate is up to 20% or more. Due to the characteristics of porous and thin wall, the geometric surface area of the carrier is greatly increased and the thermal shock resistance is improved. The mesh pores of the product are mainly triangular and tetragonal, and the triangular has much better bearing capacity and more pores than tetragonal, which is especially important as a catalytic carrier. With the increase of hole number per unit area and the decrease of hole wall thickness, the trend of thermal shock resistance and the temperature of thermal shock damage of ceramic carrier are increased. Therefore, honeycomb ceramics must reduce the expansion coefficient and increase the number of pores per unit area. The earliest raw materials for producing honeycomb ceramics are kaolin, talc, aluminum powder, clay, etc., especially diatomite, zeolite, expansive soil and the application of refractory materials. Honeycomb ceramics are widely used and have better and better performance.
